Cold Case Love

Celebs are becoming more active with the law than they are setting good examples for us to follow. Recently in the United States Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton have been to court on drug related charges, while here on the local front Bounty is making sure he's not left out of the light. Now if you have been following the news lately Bounty had been arrested again for similar charges he was arrested for the last time! If you don't know, he allegedly beat this woman with a hammer, his chain and also a mosquito zapper. The same woman he was accused of assaulting the last time!
Why don't they learn? Every time a so call celeb is arrested it is for the same accusations (whether it be drugs, alcohol or in this case woman bashing). Now what I don't get is why haven’t any of the social advocates or groups lashed out against his unlawful act? He has done it more than once and all we hear is he is arrested then freed, now arrested and freed again. Come on! When Rihanna was bashed by Christ Brown tons of groups lashed out! Don't we have similar groups here? Do we stand for woman bashing? Or are we simply afraid of the "war lord"? We think such acts of domestic violence must be highlighted and put on the forefronts for our children to make better choices about role models and future daters.  But we cannot simply blame the 'war lord' because his girlfriend is the one who chooses to be in that situation as she refuses to press charges and allowed him to get out of jail on $500000ja  (that’s a lot ) bail. Now is it fear or is it just a case of cold love that keeps him and his girlfriend together.

#buju a Twitter Top Ten

We all know what Buju is famous for apart for his jail time right, his music of course. Well its time he added a new accomplishment to his resume, taking his place among the top ten trends in the twitterverse; after rumours of the iconic artist  release yesterday broke into the attentive mass of jamaican citizen. Media houses, artist and regular twitters blew up the  microblog/social site making the Banton a number 7 hit on the charts. However his new found fame fizzled out today when he was no where to be seen on the charts well at least we know his supports are ready and waiting again when the actual verdict is revealed.
We'll be waiting too fingers crossed.

For the Good of Movado!

Movado, Jamaica's most controversial singjay is now the new face of telecommunication giant LIME (really GIANT?). Reports are that the 'Starlight' singer signed the deal one month ago after being approached by officials of LIME. Movado will be featured in ads, billboards, and appearances for the company.
Our view: for lime this is merely a plan to increase their consumer base, but then again that's the aim of every business. However, Movado is not necessarily the most universal face available to the company as most scholar consider his earlier messages to be demeaning to  the standards of respectable human behaviour, this move however will revoke any such thought as we are sure with his appearances in ads, commercial and billboards for the company  there will me no emphasis on the gully empire. Movado stands to gain even more exposure, which is always good, and even more in his bank account. However his positive work should not be swept aside as he is currently building a center for youths in cassava piece. We can only sit back therefore and watch if lime with actually surpass its competitors with the use of such a controversial but accomplished artist as there foreman.
We think its too early to call a stands on this one
